A range or RS Pro metal Firewire IEEE 1394 feedthrough connectors. The Firewire connectors are housed in robust nickel plated zinc XLR shells with universal 23.6 mm diameter cut outs. The metal feedthrough connectors are suitable for front or rear panel mounting.
IEEE 1394, also named 'Firewire' and 'I-Link', is a standard I/O interface designed to service the demands of multimedia bus requirements. 1394 is unique in its ability to carry video and audio, and has the high bandwidth that assures quality signal transfer.
This range of products includes 4 and 6-pole receptacles and cable assemblies, both of which are available in IEEE1394-1995, and IEEE1394a-2000 variants.
