Festo values its long‑standing partnership with RS and the progress achieved through the Better World products framework. The initiative supports Festo’s ESG strategy by helping customers easily identify products that enhance resource efficiency and enable more sustainable automation.
Repairability has long been a core feature of many Festo products. Customers can replace wearing parts themselves, and RS provides straightforward access to the required spares—helping extend service life and reduce unnecessary waste.
Building on this foundation, Festo and RS are now working together to include more Festo products in BWp that advance material efficiency. New successor products feature lighter designs, reducing resource use in production and often in operation and logistics. In line with the Festo Corporate Sustainability Strategy, the company is also increasing the share of recycled materials in selected components to support more circular resource use.
Through BWp, these improvements become more transparent for customers. RS’s criteria highlight where the latest Festo product generations deliver measurable environmental and economic benefits compared with earlier versions.
